Thank you for amazing turnout at Berkeley Memorial
Although I was unable to attend the memorial at DU and the Campanile last night, I heard that there were over 150 people in attendance. That is an amazing outpour of love for our beloved friend Fre. I'm sure there were great stories shared, moments of how he's touched all of us, and tears shed for his early departure. I just wanted to let you know that I was there in mind and spirit, and I wanted to open up this blog entry for comments about the memorial.

We met Fre through our son Pat McMillan while both attended Berkeley. Fre was the type of person who made an instant and lasting impression on each of us. As documented in the rememberances being written, images of Fre would flash across each of our minds bringing us joy from visions of his smiling face, loving expressions, and generous nature. Please call on your higher power to bless this young man and his family and friends at this time of need. Thanks to those of you working so hard to ensure Fre's life is remembered in a positive way; thanks too, for helping his family receive assistance to ease the burden of this tragic occasion. Our condolences to each of you - as we have lost a loving and dear friend.

I met Fre recently. I found out today that he had passed. I didn't believe it. I still don't. All I know is that he will hold a special place in my heart forever. I don't know how but in the little while that I knew him he really touched me and made me feel special. He made everyone feel special. He was way too young to leave this earth and I will miss him so much!! I had a feeling that he would become a great friend of mine and he was already on the way there. My prayers and thoughts go out to his mother and family. I extend my condolences to everyone that had ever loved Fre.
He was one in a million and my life is less bright now that he's gone.
